In The Demon's Head #46: Promotional Techniques- Conclusion

It's been a very good few days and I'm very excited about all the things that I've been able to share with you. I hope that I've been able to share you some information that you may not have otherwise known about the different styles of promoting yourself. If you haven't had a chance to read them all yet they are:

Now I understand that these aren't all the promotional techniques out there by any means so I thought that I would take the last post to kinda of spotlight real quick a few of the other means that some may find more effective and some may not but they are great if used correctly:

Public Reading: I've read that many authors have anxiety when it comes to getting in front of the crowd and reading or talking and that's a very understandable fear. However, if you read from your book this gives your audience a chance to hear your book first hand and could inspire them to want to pick up a copy.

Book Clubs: Book Clubs are a great way to build up a fan base, you can go to different clubs in some cases you can even meet the clubs on skype now which means you don't even have to travel.

Youtube Videos: You can use Youtube without blogging, You can just throw some videos of your reading up there and some thoughts and other tings. I intend to do this once my book is finished and it would offer more stuff for your website.

In Conclusion...

The phrase, “Any publicity is good publicity” is never more true then when you first start out. Whatever it is you do that can get people talking then by all means do it because the more people that hear your name then that's more people who now know who you are.

I think that would be a fitting end and a good wrapping point for this series. I'll be back tomorrow for another post and we will be returning to our regular schedule of 2 days a week for the time being, I hope you've enjoyed this series as much as I have.
