This isn’t something that I usually do, back to back post. But let’s face it I kind of fucked up the schedule earlier this week. Just being honest. Hope your day is going well and it’s not too damn cold. If spring would ever get here life would just be better and I’d bet all of you would agree with me there. But that’s enough of my bullshit rambling let’s take a look at today’s picture:

Cleansing of The Storm

There were memories in that house,

Memories that wouldn’t go away,

Memories that were fresh like scabs,

On open wounds that were inflicted,

By those who were supposed to care,

But were so deep,

They were like scars that added,

To the story of an ugly outside,

Life was never easy,

But the end would come soon,

I kept holding out hope,

While new scabs were formed,

And the old ones,

Turned into more ugly scars,

I knew it would come eventually,

To take me away,

And then I heard it one day,

The crack of thunder,

Unmistakable,

Like the clap of god,

Was ushering its way through,

I knew this was the moment,

The day,

That I had been waiting for,

I felt the walls shake,

In the hallowed,

Shell of a Home,

If you could call it a home

I called it a prison,

The thunder clapped again,

As I walked out the front door,

And I felt the building shudder again behind me,

I walked briskly,

I didn’t know where I was going,

But what was coming,

I didn’t want to be there for,

The storm raged,

And I hid,

In a cellar,

At least a mile,

Maybe more away,

When the sun came out,

I walked back down the road,

And the walls,

Were flattened,

Shaken off its foundation,

And collapsed in on itself,

No part of me wanted it anymore,

And I turned walking back down the road,

Never taking a single look back,

Letting the Storm,

Open new doors,

And a new life,

For me

This piece was inspired both by my strange mind with a bit of influence from Carrie Underwoods’ Hit song “Blown Away” I’m hoping that I didn’t copy it quite as bad as I thought in my head. First let me apologize for the lateness of this post. I know it's two days late and my main reason is because... well I didn't know what to write about to be honest. Now I read a few weeks ago, a post from someone who said write only when inspiration strikes and don't force it because it will cause your writing to suffer. I almost gave up writing this edition of “In The Demon's Head” then I read an article that I'd like to talk about today.

If you know me you know that I'm an avid reader of the “Writer's Digest” free newsletter and I'm trying all the time to read things left and right, I'm an avid believer of the more you know the more you learn. So when I learned that there was an article available that said “How To Measure Success”

I'd like to talk to you about what that means, at least to me. For me Success means happiness, it means that you enjoy what your doing everyday, it means that you have taken the necessary steps to reach your dream. For me I gauge my success like this:

It will happen when I am able to be home and writing on my schedule. I don't need millions to live, I hate everyone that says that unless your like JK Rowing, or Stephen King then your successful, the fact of the matter is that while that amount of money would be nice no doubt, but it's not something that is a necessity. I look at it like being able to make 60-100 thousand a year as something that would be the perfect amount of money for me to live off of.

Why am I bringing this up now? Because I want to get it out there that while the message of success varies from writer to writer, the overall message is clear that you don't have to be known worldwide, or extremely rich to be famous. Quite the contrary you can be moderately wealthy and your books never break the top 20 in order to be successful. I know not everyone will agree with that and that's fine but I think on a number of levels realistic goals that will provided some meaning of success is far better then shooting for ridiculous goals that few if any may ever achieve again. In The Demon's Head #59: 11 Years Later, How the World Has Changed.

Hello everyone on this afternoon where many have spent the day morning or somber due to the memorials that took place earlier today to commemorate the 11^th anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks on America on September 11, 2001. For so many today is a day of memorial and remembrance as they lost a loved one or lost something on that fateful day. The question that's posed every year is do you remember where you were when the plane struck the towers.

For me, I was in the fifth grade. We had just finished up something in the morning and we were instructed to line up and go to the gym where we were all gathered. No one ever told us exactly what was going on but we were told that something had happened, being so young I didn't quite understand the severity of it until that afternoon when I came home.

Even as young as I was I realized that, that day would forever live on as something that would change the lives of every American Citizen. A couple of days later WWE's Smackdown was the first public gathering since the attacks and Vince McMahon offered a heartfelt and moving speech to the crowd that night in attendance. He said that we as American's wouldn't be afraid because fear would only show them that they had won. That was the first night in a series of events that showed how much the country had been moved. The final thing that I remember from that week was the CMA's where Alan Jackson performed his song “Where were you when the world stopped turning” It's a song that to this day is played on September 11, as a memorial for those that had fallen.

Now looking back at the events of that day it's amazing how things have shaped our lives. First off looking at our security system that's changed over the last decade. Airport Security is going to be a huge deal now, not that it shouldn't have always been but the last decade has taught us things that we would have never known about ourselves.

Another thing that I think has changed as a whole is the human mindset. We're a lot weaker as a human race then we used to be. We take too much care in everything and we always get butt hurt when things don't go the way they want, they get upset when things are taken the slightest out of context.

I think it's changed a lot of things, including how everything is looking. I don't know for a fact what comes next but I believe that whatever it is we as a society needs to be ready for it. I'm not preaching and arguing about what comes next and what we need to do but given our history we need to be ready.

In The Demon's Head #55: Story Art: Getting Ideas

Hello everyone I hope everything is well for you this Tuesday, I'm very excited to be bringing you this edition of “In The Demon's Head” as it is a continuation of our new blogging series “Story Art” I did an intro this past Friday and today I'd like to start with our first conversation, Getting Ideas.

This is a topic that some people feel they should never share any light on, I'm not sure why but I've heard that. On the flip side there are also people who share a lot of information on this topic and none of it seems all that important. I hope that I can share some of my experience with you without boring you or you thinking that it wasn't worth reading.

First, I'd like to make something clear, while it's not this way for everyone for a lot of people the best ideas seem like they come from nowhere. It doesn't make any sense but they will be walking along and boom an idea hits them that leaves them unable to think about anything else.

I'll share a story with you, there's a story in “More Than Memories” called the “7^th Circle Railway” the idea came to me while I was riding along with Liz and we passed a railroad track that I had never seen before. I grabbed my phone and wrote a note down so I wouldn't forget it. Like that I had an idea for a short story.

Poetry tends to be a little different for me, ideas for them seem to come a bit harder. I think that those things come while writing. You start with a barebones idea and it evolves as you write. Now again these aren't things that are customary to every person but for me this is how it works.

Now how do you defer a good idea from a bad idea? First, before you say that you've never had a bad idea, this may be true for you however, you need to decide which stories you should tell. That's a hard thing to do when you just want to keep writing everything that comes into your head. This was something that I read in Stephen King's “On Writing” Not every story is yours to tell, so how do you decide which ones are yours?

You sleep on it.

What I mean is that if you come up with an idea that won't go away go to sleep. If you can sleep and wake up and the idea is still there then it's an idea that you should keep ahold of. Now if the idea won't go away then write it down somewhere, I keep everything in a journal, write it down then in a few weeks read the idea again or if you remember it think it over, if it still offers you the same amount of excitement that it did the day it was born then you have something you should write. If it doesn't make you excited then it's something that needs pitched because if your not excited to tell that story then it will come through in your writing and become one of those things that you should never have put out for the eyes of man in the first place.

For some people, ideas are hard to come by, for others it seems like the ideas do nothing but come to them time and time again. Those people may never use the ideas that they found, I've met a couple people like that, then there are people who would kill just for one or two ideas. In reality it's all about execution. You have to be willing to write the ideas that you have.

In The Demon's Head #54: Story Art Blogging Series Intro

So usually I would use Friday as the general update section of my blog. However, today marks the beginning of a new blogging series which will last for the next couple of weeks. Like my promotional techniques series, this will be a series about story art. I will be covering ideas, the beginning, the middles, and the ends.

Now why would I do a series like this you may wonder. It's very simple actually, I've been looking for a way to help spread the writing message to people I love to help people improve their writing and this was the best way that I could do it.

Let me break down a little of how this is going to work...

This is going to be a 4 part series not counting this intro that will focus only on how to improve your stories and writing. The first part is Getting Ideas

In this section I plan on talking a bit about how I get ideas, how I figure out a good from a bad idea, and how I decide if it's an idea that I deserve to write about or should I leave it for someone else.

The second part is about where to begin your stories, there's been a considerable amount of debate concerning this so I thought I'd take this chance to offer up my thoughts on how I feel stories should begin. I think a lot of it has variable but we'll cover that more soon.

The third part is about how important the middle of your book is, a lot people don't realize how important it is because they've always been harped on how important the climax and the beginning hook are, it kinda leaves out the middle, that ends here.

Finally, we'll talk about the end of your stories or novels, sometimes I've read books where the end came far too early then other times it just kept going until you really thought there was no end, but how do we end at the end? We'll talk more about that here.

I plan on covering the basic parts to stories and tell you how each part matters and why it's important to make each the best that you can. If you can write a great story through and through you'll quickly be able to find that people love your writing and will be eagerly awaiting each next thing that you put out.

In The Demon's Head #51: How Sights Influence Your Sound

How's everyone this Tuesday afternoon, it's almost 2 O'clock where I'm sitting and it seemed as good a time as any to sit down and write the new In The Demon's Head Blog post. Onto today's issue, as I'm sure you've no doubt guessed by the title today's installment is all about sights, but you may ask yourself what it means if they influence your sound. I'm here to explain.

I want you to think of a plot to a book you've read, any plot at all it doesn't matter. Now I want you to picture that same book written with that plot by someone else, someone who hasn't done the things your author has done, or hasn't seen the things your author has seen.

For me the process of sights is an important thing as it shapes every type of writing that is out there, but I'd like to focus more on how ti could influence your sound. Every writer has their own sound, Me, You, everyone who writes has their style and voice as it's shown out through words.

It's so important to realize what it is that you've seen and been around in your lifetime as it can influence your next project and maybe even possibly your next best seller. Your style and your voice as you write is your reflection and I think it's our surroundings and understandings of the world around us that make us the writers that we grow into.

So here's my challenge for you today, I want you to go for a walk and just pay attention to the world around you, nothing else. Then I want you to go home and find something you wrote from a long time ago, and I want you to think back to that time and figure out how your life influenced that piece of writing, if it did at all. I'd love you to share your comments on how your sights have influenced your writing voice so feel free to share them below.

Hello everyone how is everyone this Friday Afternoon? Today's issue comes to you live from my living room. It's been a very long week for me, I actually started my first physically demanding full time job in over a year. I've only done a couple days of orientation so far but I'll be back at it Monday and will be working pretty much every day through August.

I digress, we're not here to talk about the real jobs that I've got, I'm here to talk about the writing that I've been up too and that's a subject that I'm more then happy to share with everyone. Let's start with some progress.

Everyone whose been reading these post for the last few months have heard a lot about “More Than Memories” I'd like to give you another update here today. I have enlisted the great picture efforts of Mr. Thomas Bente. Without a doubt one of the best photoshop experts that's never hasn't hit the big time yet. I have very VERY HIGH hopes and I know he'll do a great job.

Also on the E-book front, and this really applies more to my writing friends more then my Reading fans, there's a new E-Book available written by yours truly, entitled “Promotional Techniques” it's a 16 page book that is centered completely around promoting yourself and your work. In The Demon's Head #44: Promotional Techniques- Social Media

Hey everyone we're on Day 3 of our Promotional Techniques Blogging series and so far I feel that I've been able to share quite a bit of information that will hopefully give you an edge as you start promoting yourself and your work. So Far we had our introduction and talked about blogging, and yesterday we covered Advertising. Today we're looking at one of the two biggest pieces of today's promotions puzzle, Social Media.

Now I'm willing to bet that almost everyone who is reading this has an account in at least one type of social media website. If you don't then your WAY behind the times because this is a trend that I don't think is going anywhere for a while. The question here today is how do I use Social Media to promote myself?

I'll explain using the 3 biggest social media sites (Facebook, Google Plus and Twitter) I will explain what you need on each of these to get your name out there.

Facebook

Facebook has two tools that are great for promoting yourself and your writing, you have pages and groups. Experience has told me that in regards to yourself and your writing promoting using a Facebook Page might be a better bet for you then a group simply because on pages, while people who “like” it are notified of your updates they are not delivered dozens of notifications every time someone says something or comments on something on your page whereas with a group notifications fly around all the time, it tends to get annoying. Setting up a Facebook page is just like setting up an account, you find the create page button and you follow on screen directions. It ends up looking like your Facebook Page is an extension of your personal Facebook timeline. Something to remember as well when using Facebook pages, keep your professional and personal profiles apart, I have a Kyle Robinson (Author) page and then my personal Facebook account, unless the personal event has to do with my writing it is not included on the Author Page.

Twitter/Google Plus

I only include these two together because in all reality they are almost one in the same. Twitter is the 140 micro thought sharing website with trends and Google Plus is like a hybrid between Facebook and Twitter, with possibly lengthy status updates and it's own trending list. When setting up these accounts make sure that you do so with your writing in mind and make the usernames reflect your writing and what your out to achieve.

The other difference is that Twitter has followers (people who are reading what you say) and people you follow (People whose stuff your reading) and Google Has circles.

I suggest setting up a profile on all of these three websites because believe it or not some people have abandoned one website for one reason or another and you could possibly find them on another site. The registration process for these doesn't take that long and it could lead to a massive payoff down the road.

Also remember that when setting up these accounts you want to keep them active and update them every day or so, you can attract more fans and followers if your active and showing that your out there to have yourself heard.

In Conclusion...

Social Media is something that isn't going away and something that your going to have to learn to work with if your expecting to amount to a career in writing via the self publishing route, and even in some cases having a social media presence is required for traditional publishers to want to take a look at you. Do yourself a favor now and go set up all these Social Media Sites with your accounts if you haven't done so already.

In The Demon's Head #37: Finishing the Office

Hello everyone and happy Friday. I hope you've enjoyed your weekend starter as much as I have. Today's a good day for a number of reasons, the first of which is this post that your reading right now which in itself is nice. But that's not all that's been going on in my wonderful world of writing oh no. Read on below for some more interesting information.

As most of you know I had stopped doing these blog post close to a month ago due to the fact that me and my girlfriend Liz moved so we could be closer to her work and now mine as well, I managed to get a job at a local Veteran’s home. I'm so excited by this because it means that between the two of us we will be able to have enough money for me to start advertising the page again as well as the website that is likely on it's way.

You read that last sentence right, I've hinted at it in the past and I think it's finally time to start my own writing website. This website will be complete with press kit, home pages, contact section, schedule a few other things. Nothing is for certain so we'll have to see how everything goes but I intend to have this this finished or closed to finished by the end of the weekend.

On the blog front for this blog, I am intending to write all of the extra blog post that I fell behind on while I was in the move. I think there's roughly 5 that need to be done and that's also on my plate to finish up this weekend as well. Not 100% sure if I will manage to make it or not but I'm going to damn sure try.

Also, I've made a complete decision about what I'm doing with my book “More Than Memories” I'm going to be doing a self publishing route. I'm doing this for a number of different reasons but it's mainly because it's better to start out by taking this route and I've learned that by reading different things in the last few weeks.

To say the least it will be a very productive weekend hopefully, not really sure how much I will be able to finish though I hope everything will get finished. However, that about does it for me for this edition of In The Demon's Head. I'll be bringing special edition of this blog throughout the week until I get completely caught up.

In The Demon's Head #36: The Importance of Reading

Hello everyone, it's been nearly a month since my last post and I must apologize for that. I moved and finally am now behind the computer and I have to admit it feels greater then I thought possible, I'm hoping that by this weekend I can begin editing again which is awesome, in the meantime though I'm going to be attempting to catch up on the few post that I had scheduled in the time I was away so I can stay on track.

Today's post is, like all of my other ones centered around writing and how to improve your writing. As I sat down to write out the calendar for the blog I was trying to figure out what subjects would fit best at the best times and this is one that never seems to get old, what the importance of reading means for your writing.

Some people will read the last sentence of that paragraph and say that it's a complex, or a contradictory statement. But I want you to start thinking of your writing in a completely different light. Your writing is created from your mind which processes everything that you see, hear, touch, taste and smell. These senses are ones that no doubt need to fuel everything you write but what does this have to do with reading?

Go through and read almost anything ever written. Generally it's all centered around the five senses. Also, reading continues to improve your understanding of everything and how stories could be structured. I wrote my first 4 short stories before I had ever sat down to read anything that I could remember longer then a week. And between me and you those stories downright sucked.

There were a couple that were just crap. The other two were full fledged stories with a decent plot line but the details and everything in them were just kinda falling short of anything. I was proud of them and would love to still have them but I lost the disk sometime ago. The reason I tell you this story is because it's one that has managed to help me for the longest of times.

Here's the challenge, I want you to read everything, good works, horrible works, everything in between. Why? Because if you read a good work of fiction then your going to know what you want to strive for as you write your work. If you read a crappy book then you know what you don't want your story to disintegrate into. So after reading this, go out read everything, watch TV, study everything writing and learn good from bad and start writing and improving your craft.

Hello everyone I realize it's Wednesday my apologizes about the lateness. I should have had this up yesterday but I wasn't home and able to write it so I had to wait til tonight. Either way today's edition of “In The Demon's Head” is another special edition that will highlight a good way on how to help build your platform. Last week we talked about twitter and how to gather followers and some of the basic features of how it works, today I want to talk about the biggest Social Media site on the planet, Facebook.

Facebook is a huge social media website that connects people from around the world. It's been used to build campaigns for social outreach like the infamous Kony 2012 campaign. It's been used to help raise money for things like the March of Dimes, Ronald McDonald House Charities, The American Cancer Society the list goes on and on. It's also been used to help launch careers of musicians, video directors, screen writers alike. But how, as an author do you use Facebook to take your name to new heights? I'm here to at least try to answer that question.

Facebook consist of finding friends, making request, leaving status updates and liking things. While an established friend base is very useful to help launch your platform it isn't completely necessary. There are two very good ideas that will help you build a platform on Facebook. The first one is to create a Fan Page. The process is very simple, you go to a page that you currently like and click create page and follow the instructions. Facebook pages grow in popularity as they get likes, we've all seen the different types of pages on Facebook and imagine yours being on that list.

You post status on your Facebook Page wall the same that you post status on your Facebook personal page. It's best to keep your writing page filled with business style statuses, share your personal information on the personal page and share your writing stuff on the writing page. Pictures are the same way. Facebook pages work with the same basic principal as accounting for business, Keep your personal accounts separate from your business one.

It's also very good to populate your Facebook writing page and give it the type of style

that you give your writing. I have pictures on my Facebook Wall of my 1^st draft mainly, I have some cover shots of pictures that were designed by a friend of mine and a few other things.

Finally two good things to remember when you have a writing Facebook page. Make the cover and profile pictures on these pages relevant, Headshots, cover art, things of that nature. Second, it's also a good idea if you can afford it to advertise on Facebook. You can pick the amount you pay as well as length of the campaign and number of ads. I've learned a lot about advertising and I have to say it's one of the most cost effective and most user friendly and controlled ways to get the word out about your writing. I spent 40 bucks over the course of a month and nearly doubled the amount of likes that I had on my Facebook Page.

All these things together can help you build a platform that will give you some leverage as you set out to sell your works of fiction. Also, in case your on the fence about beginning a platform let me tell you, it's never too early because these things don't build overnight you'll need to start as soon as possible.

Hello everyone and welcome to the beginning of another weekend and as always that means another great edition of “In The Demon's Head” with yours truly. I hope everyone's Memorial Day weekend went well last weekend mine was very long and hot as I'm sure a lot of yours were as well. On top of that I'm hoping that this weekend will provide with you with as much fun.

I for one am very excited to see this weekend finally arrive. It's something I've been working toward since Last December, perhaps before that but I'd center it really around Christmas time last year. The idea to give my lovely girlfriend Liz a Christmas Present started spinning, and the first ever collection of poems that were seen by another person was made. Called “The Light Behind The Bridge” I was excited and she enjoyed it, she said I should think about maybe taking it bigger and that's what I thought about, but sadly I knew there was a lot more then what I had given her in a publishable collection so I set to work.

Now here we are five months later on the cusp of Summer 2012, and I have completed the first draft of “More Then Memories” I'm very excited to say that it's 195 pages of Poems and short stories. It's something that I'm very proud of and after a weekend away from writing I'm going to start editing it on Monday and hopefully it will be ready for agent eyes by the middle of July but that's a time table based around a number of factors.

Also last Sunday was very beneficial to me, I was able to complete the entire Blog Calendar for 2012 save for I think 2 dates. Speaking of this blog calendar, I'd like to remind you that I'm looking for another author interview for June so if anyone is interested either send me a message on Facebook, Twitter, or via email by clicking here.

On top of the blog calendar I came up with another possible novel idea that I might implement down the road. I've also grown pretty thoughtful to the fact of another poetry collection, depending on the fate of this one. We'll just have to wait and see. All in all it's been a very good week and I look forward to beginning editing soon. I really would like to thank everyone that will be a part of this process and I'd like to say thanks to anyone in advance for everything.

Hello everyone, we're up to number 27 for In The Demon's Head. We've been together now for 3 months and I have to say that it's been a very fun three months. I've learned a lot about myself, a lot about writing, and a lot about the career path that I'm so very much wanting to follow. I thought I'd take this chance to give some information on 2 of the biggest platform builders out there today, Facebook and Twitter, so Today and next Tuesday I will be giving some basic info on both of these sites.

Before I get to that, I'd like to thank Miss Jennifer Chow, the first of my interviews for nominating me for the versatile blogger award. I'm not completely sure what it all means but I feel honored that I was nominated for such an award. Again, thanks Miss Chow all then thanks in the world.

Either way onto today's edition, Twitter FAQ.

Twitter was launched in 2006 and circles around a simple system that allows it's users to “tweet” in 140 characters or less. It gives people a chance to microsize their thoughts and share them with their followers. That's how Twitter works. Instead of friends, You have Followers, these people are the people that will see your tweets when you post them. When it comes to twitter, the more followers you have the bigger and better fanbase that you would have as an author.

Also, another good way to connect is to become a follower. Also, the way twitter works is if you follow a certain type of people, the recommendations will show you people of that same type. For me, I follow Wrestlers, Wrestling Personalities, and Writing types. I've gotten it narrowed down to where that's all it recommends to me now which makes me picking and choosing people who I want to get in contact with so much easier.

The other three features are the favorited and re-tweet function which allow you to favorite tweets and re-tweet some of your favorite tweets from people you follow. Then you can also reply to the tweet which allows you to, in 140 characters respond to certain tweets.

On top of those you also have a direct messaging feature that is common in every type of social media website that has come and gone in the last decade, and finally instead of website url's like most have you can be mentioned by using the @ sign, for me it's @krobwritings and you start conversations using #, these are things you'll have to experiment with and learn how to use.

All in all, Twitter is a great place to help you begin building a fan base. It gives you a chance to interact with your fans, and share different conversation starters. Twitter is a great micro conversation piece so if you haven't done so yet, visit www.twitter.com, set up a profile and get tweeting. In The Demon's Head #22: Writing Software: The Good, Bad, and Ugly

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday, is there such a thing? I'm not sure but all in all I can't complain. Today is a MASSIVE day considering, first off thanks to all of your I have managed to reach a brand new milestone as some of you know and have gotten to 100 Facebook likes. To Celebrate I released a brand new poem entitled “Viral” if you haven't had a chance to check it out click here to do so. I'd love any feedback from my fellow writers and readers. So far I've gotten some warm reception to something that is very touchy.

Either way that's enough about what's going on with me I want to talk to you today about the ever popular Writing Software. If you've been at this for longer then 2 months and are handy with a computer then you have likely looked up the different types of writing software there are out there.

Now I've only really experimented with Master Writer but I know there are a number of them out there. They range from New Novelist, Character Pro, Final Draft among others. The question I pose here is what kind of (If Any) affects do they have on your writing and are they good or bad?

Now before we proceed, I'll admit I don't know quite as much here as I did in the Traditional vs. Self Publishing post from a few weeks back so if something I say is wrong or you feel is outdated in some way then please feel free to let me know.

After a couple weeks with the Master Writer trial what I've learned is that Writing Software can be detrimental to your writing but could also have some decent affects as well.

In the character creation process, I'd give software a negative turn, it may be just the old nature of the way I do things but I love seeing the pictures of my characters in my head and adding to them on paper and learning about them as I go.

However, In forming plots and giving you writing ideas if you ever run short, I can see how these programs can be positive. Just last night I had a problem deciding what I was going to write and publish for the Facebook group, I looked online for prompts but found nothing. I know some of these programs have idea generators that could be very helpful in these situations.

From a organization standpoint it can be both positive or negative just depending on how you like your writing experience. For me hectic and loud (with music) is a great way to write others love their organization spot on and these programs can no doubt offer that, especially if you work on more then one project at a time which I know some people like to do.

As I said before I'm an old fashioned guy, I have an I-phone with a notepad app in it and I still prefer to carry around my little composition notebook to keep my ideas down in. I will use the I-Phone if absolutely necessary but really prefer the notebook. The same is said of my ideas. I like to form them out of thin air a lot, I know this can lead to problems but I have yet to really worry about that.

I think it's really one of those “beauty in the eye of the beholder” kind of metaphors here. You will either enjoy and find software useful or you'll hate it. It's kinda all about your style.

Hello everyone and another Happy Friday. I hope everyone's weekend plans are going to go according to plan. If not then sorry to say we are likely in the same boat. Also, as this is Mother's Day weekend, just a reminder don't forget to tell your mom how special they are this Sunday. Also I'd like to take a special moment to say a big hello and I love you to my own mother Pam Bleadsoe.

Either way it's onto Fridays issue of In The Demon's Head, this Friday unlike last week I have a few good pieces of information to pass onto you guys, some of it I've been harboring and some of you guys may already know either way I'm very excited about a lot of these things.

First off, on a social Media Front I'm very excited to announce I have surpassed the 100 follower Mark on twitter which is a very big accomplishment for me. I'd like to take a chance to say thank you to anyone who is following me on twitter. On Facebook I've reached 83 likes. These two things together have pretty well made my week because I feel like I'm making quite the headway when it comes to the Platform building. On top of all that, I have now reached over 300 views for the blog and gotten my first email subscriber while reaching 6 followers. These are very good numbers in my eyes.

Beyond that though I would like to send out much love to everyone who has liked and enjoyed my writings thus far on Facebook and beyond these blog post I do intend to do something else for you guys I'm just not sure when, very likely by the end of the month.

Also, on a very pleasant note I finished up an interview with Miss Jennifer Chow that will be featured as part of the “In The Demon's Head Interview Series” that I'm hoping to start. I haven't lined up any other guest in stone yet so if you'd like to be a part of the June Interview please feel free to drop me a line by clicking here, include the subject “June Interview” so it doesn't get sent to the junk folder. I'm looking for any type of writers who are looking for a new platform.

Finally on my own personal writing front this week has been very kind to me. I have renamed the current story that I'm working on, it's now called 2100 Maple Street, a title that seems not only more fitting but a lot more telling of the situation. Also, I came up an idea just earlier tonight that I'm VERY excited to get to work on, it's something that I've never seen done anywhere yet so while it might be a little while til that story makes it to paper I believe that by then I will be very ready and able to write that story and hope you guys enjoy it.

In The Demons' Head # 19: The Lowdown

Hello everyone and welcome to the end of another work week. I think I speak for the masses when I say TGIF. If your like a lot of working people your getting ready for the weekend and there's no better day of the week then a Friday. Friday also brings about another issue of In The Demons' Head.

As you know for the last month or so this Friday issue hasn't really been something spectacular mainly just a rundown of what has happened with me and writing business in the past week and sadly this week there's not a whole lot to report.

As most of you may have read on Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus yesterday I finished up another poem to add to the ever growing collection “More Then Memories” This new poem entitled “The Watchtower” took a turn even I didn't see coming and I think like most writers out there, it's situations like that where you love writing so much more.

Also I don't know about a lot of you guys out there that are writers but have you ever laid down to sleep but you just couldn't do it. Not because the stress of the day has weighed on your mind, not because the world could suddenly stop spinning at any minute, and not because your worried a bill or two won't get paid. But because the story that your mind has been brewing suddenly calls out to you in a real distinct voice?

That happened to me earlier today, I had caught a few hours of sleep, during which I remember a dream vividly about the story that's been turning over in my head. After I woke up and got a drink, I tried to lay back down but it just wasn't happening. The story kept calling out to me, pleading to be started. I'm a procrastinator and it takes forever to start something but this was a call I couldn't seem to shake.

I walked out to the living room, fired up my computer and began working on “The Cellar” It's likely to be the last short story that is included in my collection. I don't know what direction it's going yet, I don't know how long it will be but I have a feeling the next few weeks is going to be filled with a lot of ups and downs and I'm so very excited about that.
